Primary 6 have been very busy this December, learning all about Christmas Around the World. They have worked well in partners, taking greater ownership of learning - researching Christmas Traditions Around the World, using safe search engines to mind map facts and watch video clips of these celebrations in all corners of the world. To showcase this learning, they created slide shows with animations on their research. We also word processed our mobile phone messages to Santa for display on fireplaces - come Christmas Eve.
Alongside this, children designed Christmas jumpers, made cribs, Christmas cards and other Christmas tree decorations to mark this time of year. As a follow up to making Advent Promises to show how we show HOPE, LOVE, JOY and PEACE this Lenten Season, we brought our topic to an end by continuing the theme of showing love and kindness towards others at this time of year. We did this by recording compliments in each others mini emoji books, to celebrate uniqueness and remind each other what makes them special.
