Earth Day 2026
Primary 5 had a fantastic day celebrating World Earth Day 2026, exploring how we can all play a part in protecting our planet.
We began by sharing ideas about simple yet meaningful ways to care for the Earth. Pupils suggested actions such as reducing water waste and recycling more. They worked collaboratively to discuss and share ideas on topics linked to Earth Day, and used this to write their own persuasive pieces. Their writing was very passionate and expressive!
Using Just2Easy, the children created eye-catching digital posters to explain how we can care for our Earth. They enjoyed editing background and adding pictures from the internet.
To finish off the day, we went on a Nature Walk around the school. Pupils were asked to use their senses to find things they could hear, smell, see, taste and smell outside. This helped us to to appreciate our beautiful world. Well done Primary 5 on your contributions and enthusiasm for World Earth Day!
