The children have been learning all about fruit! We have had lots of fun during Play Based Learning, both indoors and outdoors. We have been printing with fruit, making patterns, investigating if they float or sink, what shapes they look like, made fruit molds in the sand tray, played with fruits in the soil tray, created fruit using playdough and built harvest machinery using our outdoor play blocks and stickle bricks. During numeracy we created a class 3D pictogram of our favourite fruits. We then collected data from our class and Mrs Kelly's P1 children, which each child then used to create a pictogram on Just2Easy. During Art we focused on the famous painting by Valerie Clarke 'Fruit Bowl' and created our very own Fruit bowls using pastels. They are absolutely beautiful.
