During our half day on Friday due to Storm Amy, Primary 5 took the opportunity to dive deeper into our Natural Disasters topic using Zoom Earth.
We tracked Storm Amy live, observing its movement and wind speeds in real time. Then, we explored the globe and discovered three other active storms/hurricanes! Each group worked to:
• Classify the type of storm
• Find the start date of each storm
• Record the highest and lowest wind speeds
It was a brilliant way to connect our learning to real-world events by using digital tools. Well done, Primary 5 — your curiosity and teamwork were outstanding!
