P5 Become The Teacher!
Move over Miss Maguire, there are some new teachers in town!
Last week, our Primary 5 classroom was taken over by our incredibly talented pupils as they became "Teacher for a Day." As part of a special homework task, the children were challenged to plan a 10 to 15-minute lesson and deliver it entirely on their own to the rest of the class.
The variety of topics was absolutely outstanding! We travelled all the way to the Amazon Rainforest, explored the world of musical instruments, and learned about so many other fascinating subjects like King Henry VIII and fashion. The effort put into the planning and resources was clear to see.
What impressed us the most, however, was their fantastic behaviour management strategies! They kept their "pupils" beautifully focused, asked brilliant questions, and made sure learning was fun for absolutely everyone, with incentives like table points and stickers.
A massive well done to all of P5 for stepping up to the front of the room with such maturity and confidence. It is safe to say that future classrooms are in very safe hands with these budding teachers! Have a look at the pictures below to see our young educators in action.
