We had a lovely day visiting Enniskillen Castle today to engage in their Viking education programme.
The children had the opportunity to undertake an archeological dig, where they uncovered artefacts, jewellery and armour. They also visited Norway, and met Ethel in her longhouse, where they learned about Viking food, clothing and social hierarchy. To finish off, we all came together to make a Viking brooch and discuss their properties.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Enniskillen Castle and learned lots of new facts! Well done boys and girls!
