This week we welcomed our new Primary 1 pupils to St Mary's PS. They have all made a wonderful start and are enjoying familiarising themselves with their new learning environment.
To aid the transition to primary school, Mrs Kelly (P1 teacher) and Mrs McQuaid (P7 teacher) implement the Playground Buddies system, whereby each P1 pupil will have a buddy (or buddies) to assist the transition process and be a key pupil in the playground and throughout the school.
Well done to all our fantastic P1 pupils, and of course to our very mature and responsible P7 pupils.
