Primary 5 have enjoyed writing some wonderful 'Presidential Speeches' which they shared with their class. Having looked at the role of government in Shared Education, they had some previous knowledge of why we pay taxes and knew that some of decisions they had to make should help improve - Roads and Transport, Education and Health.
Some very powerful statements in speeches show their understanding of how their role as President would also be to tackle issues such as
- Homelessness
- Potholes on roads
- Re introduce the lollipop lady/man to schools for child safety
- Address hospital waiting lists
- Give school more money for outdoor play and indoor resources
They got a great reception from their classmates who listened to their speeches. Great work! Well done P5!
