Primary 6 Class Assembly - Moses and the Israelites

26th Mar 2026

Today, Primary 6 presented a short assembly set in ancient Egypt. They retold the story of Moses , explaining how the Israelites were held against their will and forced into slavery by the cruel Pharaoh. Despite the repeated pleas of Moses and Aaron, the Pharaoh stubbornly refused to free them. It was only after God sent ten devastating plagues—ending with the loss of life—that he finally relented. The plagues, narrated by Alanna and Tom, were dramatically brought to life by the class to show the suffering endured by the enslaved Israelites. In the end, these events persuaded the Pharaoh to change his mind and allow Moses to lead the Israelites to freedom across the Red Sea.

Upon reaching the Promised Land, Moses presented the Ten Commandments—something everyone on stage agreed was exactly what the people had been waiting for.

This assembly gave pupils a wonderful opportunity to shine and demonstrate how their confidence continues to grow when learning script and performing in front of an audience. A great show, Primary 6! Well done!
