This term our pupils from Primary 3, 5 and 7 have participated in the
DE RAISE - Reading with AI Research Project.
This is a significant opportunity to be part of a nationally important study, delivered by the Department of Education in partnership with Oxford Brookes University and Amira Learning. The Department of Education have highlighted that our school’s involvement will help shape future literacy policy, while giving our staff and pupils the chance to engage with new tools and approaches grounded in the science of reading.
Our Reading Champion (and Literacy Co-ordinator), Mrs O’Reilly, along with our teachers and classroom assistants, ensure that all participating students read with Amira at least three times a week, in school ONLY, for 10-15 minutes.
