Primary 5 have been studying the non-fiction unit ‘Incredible Sports’ in Wordsmith, where we have looked at a range of combined sports, such as Joggling, weird sports, such as Bog Snorkelling and sports around the would, such as Bossaball.
We learned all about different forms of reporting, such as newspaper reports and commentaries. We worked in pairs to create our own commentary for our own sports. We discussed how commentaries are informal, have lots of expression and commentators communicate with each other. Everyone worked so hard to add in lots of detail and enthusiasm into their commentaries - well done Primary 5!
