As part of their recent learning on the topic of the Vikings, Primary 5 explored a range of advertisements to understand how language and design can be used to persuade an audience.
Using this knowledge, the children created their own advertisements to sell a Viking longhouse. They carefully selected a range of powerful and descriptive adjectives, as well as engaging phrases linked to their learning, to make their adverts both catchy and impactful for the reader.
After planning their ideas, the children used ICT skills to type their advertisements, experimenting with different fonts, colours and layouts to enhance their work. They also used text boxes to organise information clearly and creatively, and added images and a border.
