Today our school were delighted to welcome legendary Premier League star, ROY CARROLL.
Roy began his playing career with Fivemiletown United and Ballinamallard United, before moving 'across the water' to join Hull City and then Wigan Athletic.
In 2001 Roy was signed by the Premier League defending champions Manchester United for an undisclosed fee, reported to be £2.5 million!! Roy went on to win the Premier League and FA Cup with Man United before his career took him to West Ham United, Derby County and a famous spell with Olympiacos. Roy was also an integral part of the Northern Ireland team, including qualifying for the European Championships in 2016 - he won 45 caps in total!!
Our pupils were engrossed as they listened to Roy's stories about his career, the ups and downs, and his many achievements. Roy showcased some of his treasured medals, including his Premier League and FA Cup medals.
A truly special visit, where children can see and learn that dreams can become a reality.
